I’m Malaysian and have been calling The Hague home
for over ten years.
My love affair with food began back in Kuala Lumpur, where I studied Hotel Management, and it really took off during my first adventures in the hospitality world in Dubai.

Fast forward twenty years, and I’ve decided to shake things up by starting my very own (small but mighty!) food & catering business.
Through my dishes, I want to share my passion for cooking and show just how surprising, vibrant, and wonderfully diverse Malaysian cuisine truly is.

What's tapau?
Tapau comes from the Chinese term “tah-pao” and simply means: to take away. Across much of Asia, it’s an everyday word for grabbing food to go.

With Tapau, my goal is to serve proper soul food that feels like coming home — affordable, packed with flavour, and easy to take away in The Hague. It’s also my way of introducing people to the rich and diverse world of Malaysian cuisine.
From iconic dishes like Nasi Lemak to simple, homemade favourites such as char kueh teow or ayam masak kicap, served with egg and steaming hot rice.

Malay, Chinese, or Indian-inspired — this is comfort food at its finest. Pure feel-good food, no fuss, all heart .
